Agreement to terms

By accessing or using FlipFlap at flipflap.io (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may modify these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Description of Service

FlipFlap is a web application that lets you create and display digital split-flap boards. Boards can show quotes, clocks, weather, cryptocurrency prices, menus, and custom text on any screen or monitor.

Accounts

You need an account to create and manage boards. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and promptly update it if anything changes.

Free and paid plans

FlipFlap offers a free tier and a lifetime paid plan. The free tier includes core functionality. The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase that unlocks all current and future features for the life of the product. Pricing and feature availability are listed on our website and may change, but changes will not affect existing lifetime plan holders.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed securely by Polar. All purchases are final. Because the lifetime plan grants immediate, permanent access, we do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at hello@flipflap.io and we will work with you to resolve it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or fraudulent.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by introducing malware or overloading servers.
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Service by automated means without our written permission.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or any part of it.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create on FlipFlap (quotes, menu items, custom text, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. We will not sell your content or use it for advertising.

Intellectual property

The FlipFlap name, logo, website design, and underlying code are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use our branding or trademarks without written permission.

Third-party services and data

FlipFlap integrates with third-party APIs for cryptocurrency prices, weather data, and other features. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or content. Cryptocurrency prices and weather information are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon for financial decisions.

Availability and changes

We strive to keep FlipFlap available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or engage in activity that harms the Service or other users. On termination, your boards and data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FlipFlap and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50, whichever is greater.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
